Trevor Rogers is an independent drummer of 20+ years. Exposure to live music at an early age led to a lifelong pursuit of percussive excellence. He began his journey under the mentorship of Scott Williams at the California Drum Shop at 7 years old.
Throughout middle school, Trevor applied rudimental studies in marching band + orchestra contexts, as well as drum set comprehension in Big Band. Later, he attended a performing arts high school where he played in concert + lab bands, and expanded studies under the instruction of Keith McGonigle.
Trevor attended the University of the Arts and graduated with a BA in Music Performance from the School of Music.During this time, he took formal lessons with Erik Johnson and Dr. Rob Brosh while performing in a wide variety of ensembles. He also studied under Alex Shaw, Arturo Stable, Jason Gianni, and Joe Nero.
Currently, Trevor is a cymbal-smithing apprentice and assistant to Mike Mongiello of Mongiello Cymbals in Philadelphia. He can also be found tinkering about at Pocket Percussion.
Pursue a creative practice; there is no better time than now. It’s good for ya!
